The Chasen Kusenaoshi 茶筅 クセ直し is a shaper, to rehabilitate the broad shape of a bamboo whisk.
Simply clean the bamboo whisk by whisking in warm water, towel dry, set onto Kusenaoshi. Fan drying is highly recommended to encourage fast moisture removal.
Not recommended as a holder for unclean bamboo whisk.
